Phoenix Philosophy is a student journal of political philosophy started by students of the Free University of Berlin. Considering the rise of populism, nationalism, economic inequality, mass migration and post-truth politics, the world seems to be in chaos. What can students make of the challenges of our time?
Our mission is to start a discussion on these topics through the lens of political philosophy. We devised Phoenix philosophy to survey the chaos and draw strength from collaborative discourse. To do this, our focus is on publishing a journal of student essays, maintaining a blog with short articles and book reviews and sharing important content for everyone interested in political philosophy. It is our hope that this can record and follow the exchange of knowledge on pressing topics that students find most fascinating. And we want you to join us in exploring the political in an open conversation!
